With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Jay Pottmeyer of Marietta, Ohio, who passed away on August 20, 2024 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pottmeyer and Elizabeth O'Linn Pottmeyer; his brothers, Francis and Dave; and his grandparents, Walter, Ada Bules O'Linn, Ralph Sr. and Helen Huck Pottmeyer.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Smith Pottmeyer; his children, Johanna McNabb (Nate), Cole Pottmeyer (Alison) and Tanner Pottmeyer (Amie); his grandchildren, Addisyn, Willow, Evelynne, Claire, Dayne, Gage and Lennox; his siblings, Ken (Cindy), Chris, Ted (Karen), Eric (Marilyn), Erin (Sherri), Trina (Ted), Dennis (Carla), Laurene (Doug) and Kim (Dave); his friend Curt Loken (Sharon); his parents-in-law, Earl and JoAnn Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Danford (Tom), Nancy Bauerbach (Brian) and Earlene Watson (Gene). He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
