She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wesley Shahan and Maude Pearl Dulaney Shahan; her husband William Edward Burd; her son Larry Edward Burd; her stepdaughter Edna Lou Burd; her siblings, Inez Burge, Laura Nichols, Evert Shahan (Katie) and Pearly Shahan (Opal); and her friend Morris Alderman.
She is survived by: her children, Charlie Burd (Leone Ohnoutka) of Vienna, Judy Florence (Calvin) of Parkersburg and Kay Gribble (Jim) of Belpre; her grandchildren, Bill Fox (Madeleine) of Virginia, Tammie Fox Ferguson of Belpre, Tracy Gribble Morrison (Kevin Nichols) of Columbus, Terri Gribble Miller (Dan) of Parkersburg, Charles Burd (Rohan Tandon) of Bali and Nathan Burd (Racquel Eppler) of Vienna; her niece Nancy Jeffers (Gary) of Northville, MI; and her nephews, Donald Shahan, Roger Shahan, Denny Shahan and Chuck Curtis. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory - Parkersburg (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
