He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Heppner and Marie Heppner; his stepfather Russel Duncan; and his siblings, Paul "Jerry" Heppner and Donna Woodward.
He is survived by: his wife Wendy Bates Heppner; his daughters, Angela Lukehart (Reese), Rachel Price (Adam) and Nicole Jobe (Nick); his grandchildren, Kira, Olivia, Claire, Sam, Nathan, Avery, Lucas, Nora, Natalie, Nolla and Nash; his brother Edward McGrath (Charlotte); his sister-in-law Jo; his close friend Gary Lee; and his pet Zero. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
