He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lucille S. Wilson; his sons, Edward W. "Trey" III, Jay A. (Candi) and Richard "Rick" Wilson; his grandchildren, C. J., Christi Cypher (Ryan) and Charrie Slater (Corey); and his great grandchildren, Jace, Cade and Zeke.

Private memorial services have been held for the family due to Covid-19 restrictions.
