It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris J. Hess of Maria Stein, Ohio, born in Coldwater, Ohio, who passed away on November 5, 2021, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis "Bing" and Madonna Goecke (Hausfeld); her siblings, Mary Goecke and Fred Goecke; and her parents-in-law, John Townsend, Sandy Hess and Chris Hess.
She is survived by: her husband Carl Hess; her children, Sarah Hess, Joe Walker, Columbus, Kevin, Ashley Hess, Rachel Hess, Pat, Taylor Hess, Lee Hess, Allison Hess and Jason Hess; her grandchildren, Leo, Etta, Avie and Arya; her siblings, Jane (Scott Goeller), Kettering, Kathy (Tim Stonecash), Tom (Sue Goecke), Judy Townsend, Celina, Paul Goecke, Ken (Kerin Goecke), Cindy (Dan Chappie), Phil (Karen "Gidge" Goecke), Carol, Dave Flora of Greenfield, IN, Tony (Lisa Goecke), Mike (Jami Goecke) and Marcia Homan; and her parents-in-law, Thomas, Karen Hess, Dan, Mary Jo Hess, Dale, Lynne Hess, Leonard, Julie Hess of Bluffton, Ala, Sharon Hess, Craig, Jenny Hess and Troy.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Rustic Hope and Do Good Restaurant.
