He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Joseph and Martha Veronica King (Berg); his child Dana Joseph King; and his sisters, Jane Van Horn and Mary Ellen Geyer (Roger).

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Gutmann; his children, Renee'Elizabeth Winner (Alan) of DeGraff, Scott Thomas King (Ann) of Anna and DeAnna Marie Baughman (Nicholas) of Sidney; and his siblings, James King (Carolyn) of Botkins and Kathryn Sitzman (John) of Wapakoneta.
