It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melanie Rose Sims of Maplewood, Ohio, born in Sidney, Ohio, who passed away on December 14, 2021, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Hilyard and Virginia Fouse (Gross). She is survived by: her close friend Alvin Poore; her children, Payten Rose Poore and Jayden Lee Poore; her stepsons, Justin and Zack Poore; and her siblings, Douglas Hilyard of Maplewood, Robert Hilyard (Amy) of Sidney, Fred Hilyard (Crystal) of Sidney, Amber Lewis (Johnathon) of Sidney, Adam Hilyard (Kelly) of Sidney and Molly Hilyard of Sidney. She is also survived by 15 nieces/nephews.
