It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Joan Faler Clinehens of Maplewood, Ohio, who passed away on September 7, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Myron; her son Lyle Faler, Sr.; her son-in-law Richard Cowan; her great grandchild Grace Patricia Faler; and her siblings, Ruby Griewe and Eugene Davis.
She is survived by: her former husband Orville Lester Faler; her husband Gerald Clinehens of Sidney; her daughters, Bonnie Cowan of Belle Center and Robin Mitchell (Tom) of Bellefontaine; her daughter-in-law Mel Faler of Jackson Center; her grandchildren, Renee' Duff (David), Leslie Bozman (Robert), Heather Voorhies (Jeff), Devry Shirk (Andy), Matt Myers (Heather), Brock Mitchell (Chelsea), Lyle Faler, Jr. (Holly), Greg Faler (Ellen), Todd Brackney (Regina) and Tawnee Klopfenstein (Steve); her sister Euanna Herndon of Sidney; and also Gertrude. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Gertrude was a strong believer in education and memorial contributions may be given in her memory toward college expenses for her grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
