He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Willis and Bennie Lee Willis; and his siblings, Walter Jr., Ernest, Roberta Williams, Betty Monroe and Patricia Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah (Elona); his children, Cassandra (Dwayne), Robert Jr. (Sharon), Ernest (Deanna) and Valencia; his stepchildren, Michael, Jennifer and Justin; and his sisters, Alice Faye King, Gwendolyn Miller and Jacqueline Bell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
