She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Freeman and Verneiga Freeman; her husband Pierce Davis; her son Eddie N. Strickland, III; her grandson Eddie LaVette; and her siblings, Garland J. Woods, Sr., Frank Freeman, Jr., Joan Freeman, Donald Freeman and Ronald Freeman.
She is survived by: her daughter Tonya S. Davis; her grandchildren, Sharnita LaVette-Clark (Steven), Asa Johnson, Kayla S. Graham and Shaina D. K. Brown; her great grandchildren, Raven, Delmar, Caitlyn and Aaliyah; her great great grandchild Ahmar; her brother Fred Freeman; and her sister-in-law Olivia Woods. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
