He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Rives and Fred Rives Sr.; and his wife Mary Surratt. He is survived by: his siblings, Sarah, Willie, Frank, Otis, Vernell, Hezekiah and Curtis; his niece Jeannine; and his nephew Kire. He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gaines Funeral Home (5386 Lee Rd, Maple Heights, OH 44137). A wake will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44270).
