With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elder James R. Jones of Maple Heights, Ohio, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Elder James' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Elder James has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sisters, Ida Lee (Randolph Adams) and Esther A Brown; and his children, James Robert Lee Jones II and Naomi. He was also cherished by other sons and daughters a multitude of grand children.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gaines Funeral Home (5386 Lee Rd, Maple Heights, OH 44137). A wake was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44270).
