He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hnizdil and Agnes Hnizdil; and his siblings, Laverne Penkal and Franklin Schmid. He is survived by: his wife Vivian (Walters); his children, Cheryl Gorman, Charles Schmid (Linda), Alicia Morrison (Tim) and Erika Ward (Mike); his stepdaughters, Kim Harris (Brian) and Emily Griffith (Jeremy); and his grandchildren, Sarah Schmid, Tiffany Morrison, Katie Ellis (Marcus), Calla Schmid, Tiffany Tarro, Morgan Tarro, Tyler Harris, Zachary Harris, Abigail Griffith, Henry Ward and Oliver Ward.
Due to the pandemic conditions, a private burial will be held with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio.
