Charles E. Ellsworth Obituary
Charles E. Ellsworth, 83, of Maple Heights, entered peacefully into eternal life on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 4:45 a.m. at Aurora Manor in Aurora.
He was born November 12, 1938, in Hudson, the son of the late Carl and Alice Carey Ellsworth and was a lifelong area resident.
Charles retired after 38 years with the DeBartolo Corporation where he worked as a construction project manager and twenty-four years with Thistledown Racetrack.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching NASCAR, horse racing and was a Cleveland sports fan.
Charles is survived by his wife the former Virginia F. Snowberger whom he married on October 26, 1963; his children David of Newton Falls, Jerry of Parma and Denise (Mike) Bennett of Lyndhurst; a brother Ronald of Brady Lake; a sister Barbara Hollman of Atwater; by twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a daughter Janet Andrews and a brother Dennis Ellsworth.
Family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service in the funeral home.
A Funeral Service, with Rev. Vincent Harris officiating, will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Hine Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg.
Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Charles' name to the Leukodystrophy Awareness c/o Carnival-for-a-cure 46310 Carter Road, New Waterford, Ohio 44445.
