He is survived by: his wife Sophia Herbert (Hojsak); his children, Christopher Herbert (Laurel) of Avon Lake and Heather Shargo (John) of Raleigh; his sister Carol Fontanini of Mason; and his grandchildren, Park, Jaret and Madelanah.
