He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Joyce (Angela); his son Calvin Smith (Mantua); his stepsons, Joseph Gamble (Canton) and Kaleb Gamble (Canton); his nephew Thomas Smith (Newton Falls); his stepdaughter Julya Gamble (Brimfield); his siblings, Steven (Kim), Daniel (Lorna), Brian (Stacey), Shelley (Chuck), Kellerman (Garrettsville) and Cheri Smith (Bainbridge); his grandchildren, Rosaline, Noah and Weston; and also Alivia Smith (Mantua).

He is survived by: his significant other Angela R. Smith (Kinker).
