He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Muldowney and Elsie Muldowney (Poots); his children, Joel Miner (Sheila), Suzanne Croke (Jeffrey), Linda Matanis of Florida, Elaine Layman (Chuck) of Colorado, Elise Tripp of California and Lois Laver (Brian) of Mantua; his sister Janet Scott of Virginia; his children, Robert H. Miner, Paul E. Miner and Lynn Gardner; and his brother Jack Miner. He was also cherished by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
