It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Lee Varney of Mantua, Ohio, who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Edward and Marcia Ellen McAleer (Gifford); his sister Cathy Fortuna; and his son Richard. He is survived by: his wife Isabelle (Shortridge); his children, Patrick (Melissa), Ryan (Kim), Tim (Andrea), Shannon Nusbaum (Jason), Krista Webb (Mike), Chaz Shortridge, Bobby Shortridge (Neva) and Natalie Shortridge (Eric); and his siblings, Richard Varney and Jean Ryder. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
