It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Miner formerly of Mantua, Ohio, born in Marion, Ohio, who passed away on January 29, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Schoeller and Mae Schoeller (Harper); and her husband Robert Miner. She is survived by: her former husband Ralph Gardner; her son Lynn Gardner; her siblings, Robert Schoeller and Harriett Drzinski; her daughters, Linda Matanis of Florida, Elaine Layman (Chuck) of Colorado, Elise Tripp of California and Lois Laver (Brian) of Mantua; and her grandchildren, Richard (Marly), Amy (Timothy), Tishanna, Alicia (Joshua), Daniel and Jason. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In the 70's she was president of the American Cancer Society in Massachusetts helping to raise money for the charity.
