He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Prescott and Huldah Prescott (Jackson); and his sisters, Betsy Sassano and Huldah Jones. He is survived by: his wife Renate Prescott (Lehmann); his sister-in-law Edie Cawley of Mantua; his children, Benjamin Prescott-Ward, III of North Carolina, Melody Cutler (William) of North Carolina and Joseph E. Thompson (Margaret) of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Zack Cutler, Charis Cutler-Strickland, Juliet Cutler, Tommy Thompson, Drake Thompson, William Edwards and T. J. Edwards.
