He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Hoover and Ruby Hoover (Snair); his son Eric Hoover; and his sisters, Patricia Poth, Sandra Edwards and Ila Mae Clinage.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wycoff Hoover; his sons, Michael Hoover (Amanda), Gerald Hoover (Macheal) and Troy Hoover (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Samantha (Alec), Skylar (Alexis), Eric Jr., Krisna (Andy), Gabrielle, Josh (Micaela), Seth and Megan. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and several chosen family members.
