She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Otho Morton and Margaret Dorothy (Heckman); her husband Paul Couch; her siblings, Peachie Byers, Norman Morton and Mary Elizabeth; and her great grandchild Everett Thomas Condit.
She is survived by: her brother Michael Morton (Sharon) of Columbus, Ohio; her children, Dr. Jeffery Gwirtz (Diane) of Lawrence, Kansas, Catherine Ann Phegley of Mansfield, Ohio, Charlies Edwin Gwirtz (Diana Wendling) of Tiro, Ohio, Kelleah Anne Metzger (Stephen) of Shelby, Ohio and Edward Michael Gwirtz (Peggy) of Bucyrus, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Amanda Gwirtz, Dr. Kyle Gwirtz (Jemma), Sarah Miley (Chad), Joe Phegley, Meghann Beeching (Ryan), Philip Metzger (Keegan), Elizabeth Condit (Mark), Shayne Helms, Ashley Gwirtz (Alex), Anthony Gwirtz (Rebecca), Jeffrey (Natalie), Eric (Paige) and Bryan Wendling (Kelli). She is also survived by her 25 great-grandchildren; and her numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Barkdull Funeral Home (33 N Gamble St, Shelby, OH 44875). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Oakland Cemetery (116 S Gamble St, Shelby, OH 44875).
