It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth M. Frye of Mansfield, Ohio, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Odie Pritt and Olive Pritt (Brown); her siblings, Judy Rush, David Pritt, Odie Pritt and Linda Pritt; her niece Christy Pritt; her nephew Cory Pritt; and her mother-in-law Maxine Frye.

She is survived by: her significant other Tom Frye; her stepdaughter Taryn Utt Berry; her stepgrandchildren, Kellie Shae Speckert, Karson Berry and Kaydan Berry; her nieces and nephews, LaNette Kline, Cassy Patterson, Theresa Pritt and Brenda Petroski; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Natalie, Kristy, Quinn Kline, Josh, Justin and Corey Pritt; her sister-in-law Terry Kirkpatrick; and her close friends, Justin, Dee Sims, Mary Mutchler, Vicky Carnes and Yoshee Ludwig.

“I will always remember the Ruthie that spoke the truth. The one that smiled and brought light to others, the one that gave great hugs and enjoyed company of her loved ones. She was a legend in her own right as a young lady that helped care for children that were left sometimes without someone that cared. She was a beautiful lady and I loved spending the small amount of times that I was able to spend around her. She treated me like her niece and I will love her forever for that. Praying for all”
