It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Smith (Mansfield, Ohio), who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Edward and Laura Bell Smith (Hupp); his daughter Christine Steinman; and his grandson Ryan Stamper. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Smith; his children, Kirk Smith (Sandy), LaTisha Alterio and Tasha Hall; and his grandchildren, Kayleb Hall, Preston Alterio, Kyler Hall, Zavier Alterio, Kennedy Hall of Andrew Mattone, J. T, Savannah Coffman, Brock Stamper and Kyle Stamper. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends.
