She was predeceased by: her parents, William Giffels and Caroline Giffels (Neuman); her husband Robert L. Halter; and her brothers, James (Mary), William (Renie), Richard, Robert (Margret) and Thomas Giffels (Donna).

She is survived by: her children, Susan Schroeder (Garry) of Mansfield and William Halter (Kathy) of Mansfield; her grandsons, Erich Schroeder and Gregory Schroeder; her great grandchildren, Addison and Brody Schroeder; and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Giffels of Avon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that monetary contributions be made to Boy Scout Troop #152, Studio 65 Dance Center, Southern Care Hospice, or any charity of the donor's choice.
