He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley and Carrie McCauley (Hamilton); and his siblings, Ralph McCauley, Garnet Villers, Louise Lester, Nancy Plummer and Jeanie Wix.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McCauley; his son Christopher McCauley (Jeanny); his grandchildren, Austin, Brittany and Connor McCauley; his sister Kimberly Fitcher (Bo); his mother-in-law Anna Ruth Montgomery; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Roberts (Mike) and Steve Wix. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
