He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Ellsworth "Elic" Reid and Mildred Elizabeth "Banty" Reid (Hamrick); his in-laws, Russell Yarman (Vivian) and Mary Yarman; his sons, Steven and Gregory Layfield; and his siblings, Shirley "Sug" Calhoon, Richard "Dick" Reid, Donald "Donnie" Reid and Randall "Clyde" Reid.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbi; his daughters, Melinda "Mindy" Dyer (Doug Gray), Jamie Jaynes (Mike) and Michelle "Shelly" Kniceley (Terry); his pet Festus; his siblings, Carol Ann Stefan (John) and Ronald "Stanley" Reid; his grandchildren, Bobbi Layfield, Mandy Jaynes, Dustin Dyer (Torri), Aaron Morton (Kayla), Miranda Butler (Eddie), Brittany Jaynes, Christopher Ditmars, Andrew Morton (Jaclyn), Bravin Kniceley, Trent Kniceley (Baylee), Devon Layfield and Hannah Ackerman (Dylan); his great grandchildren, Desmon, Sylas, Alegacy, Vyctoria, Declyn, Aubrie, Parker, Emmett, Kim, Dixie, Ariana, Jaceda, Phyllip, Lily, Bennett, Nicole, Kali, Paisley, Maycee, Asher, Adria, Braxton, Hyde, Valentina and Aurora; his granddaughter Brooke Jaynes; and his great grandchild Cashton Ackerman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
