He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvia Pack (Hoover) and Birch Pack; his wife Marilyn Pack; his grandson Tyler Pack; his great grandchild Javion Christopher Brown; and his siblings, John "Bill" Pack, Louella Currence, Helen Cline, Peggy Troupe and Cecie Adkins.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Alice M. Miller; his children, Deborah Berens (Randall), Dorinda Strang (Jeff), James Pack Jr. (Teresa) and Michael R. Pack; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Pease (James), Suzanne Berens, Rachel Heiber (Noah), Lauren Berens, Adam Strang (Heather), Ashlee Strang (Tara), Aimee Ellerbrock (Ross), Seth Pack, Colin Pack (Jackie) and Tiffany Pack; and his great grandchildren, Allison, Matthew, Charlotte, Bridget, Theodore, Lucille, Jacqueline, William, John, Rosamund, Jaleah and Mireya. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mansfield Reformatory Preservation Society and Shelly Acres Swim Club.
