He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Hilliard and Buford Hilliard Sr.; his former wife Hannah Mae Hilliard; his daughters, Marsha Hilliard and Carolyn "Sue" Davidson; and his siblings, Buford Hilliard Jr. and Imogene Rembert.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Hilliard; his children, Michael Hilliard, Anne "Vernie" Hilliard and Herbert "Jamie" Hilliard Jr. (Rhonda); his stepchildren, Vanessa Robinson Keith, Isaac Robinson Jr. and Nathan Robinson Sr.; and his friends, Cassandra L. Chatman, Elder Tim Woods and Roosevelt Manns. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirty six step grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church (130 E 2nd St, Mansfield, OH 44902). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hilliards Residence (1674 Honeysuckle Dr, Mansfield, OH 44905).
