He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Edward and Anna Belle Rupp (Cox); his son H. E. "Mike" Rupp III; his grandson Clynt Tope; and his siblings, Carl Rupp, Wayne, Warren Rupp, Virginia Rupp Hawkins and Jeannie Rupp Chaddock.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Engh (Greg), Scott Rupp (Jackie), Karla Rupp and Kelly Karpanty (Ron); and his grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Mary Rupp, Stephen Engh, Eric, Alex, Ryan Rupp, Andy, Matt, Tommy Barkett, Max, Owen and Elise Karpanty. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
