He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ling and Dora Ling; his wife Pauline Mowry; his birth parents, Raymond Ling and Erma Mae Forshey (Guthrie); his half-brothers, Richard "Gene" Ling and Bill Forshey (Cricket); his siblings-in-law, Sharon Mowry, Fran Mauritz and Carl Mowry; and his nephew Bill Frey.
He is survived by: his children, Shari Strobel (Edward) of Bay View, Vicki Smith (Greg) of Waco, Jeff Ling of Mansfield and Perry Ling of Whitehall; his grandchildren, Josiah Smith, Joy Paulson (Luke) and Samuel Ling; his great grandchildren, Eli and Cade Paulson; his nephew Bob Frey (Mariella); his niece Marge Hobbs; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Mowry, Dan Mauritz and Judy Mowry.
His memberships include: American Legion, Moose Lodge, Amvets, Retman Club, AARP, and RSVP, Greater Ohio Showman's Association.
