It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gearold Leroy Smith of Mansfield, Ohio, born in South Webster, Ohio, who passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Estle Smith and Ada Smith (Ashley); and his brother Ralph "Melvin" Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Herman, Mansfield Liederkranz, Moose, Amvets Post, Bret Smith (Tonya) of Mansfield Ohio and Tracey Smith (Karla) of Tomball, Texas; and his friend Betty Glover. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
