With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edison J. Dorsey in Mansfield, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Dorsey and John Dorsey; his wife Evelyn Dorsey; his daughter Beverly Dorsey; and his siblings, Russell, Everette, Johnny, Helen D. Nealy-Bardge and Alvonia Cross.
He is survived by: his children, Adolphous, Yvonia, Gregory, Angala and Stacey; and his sister-in-law Alfreda Dorsey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A masonic service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mansfield Chapel (753 McPherson St, Mansfield, OH 44903). Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Love Church of God in Christ (190 Chester Ave, Mansfield, OH 44903). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mansfield Cemetery (389 Altamont Ave, Mansfield, OH 44902).
