It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Arthur Yockey (Mansfield, Ohio), born in Shelby, Ohio, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John David and Marvel Jane; and his brother John Yockey. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Medard; his children, John Andrew, Erin Austin of Sylvania, Steve, Jody of Shelby and Kathleen (Kat) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Frederick Craig of Mansfield, C. J. Yockey of Toledo, Nate, Courtney Yockey of Shelby, Wenn Yockey of Mansfield, Emma Yockey of Shelby, Anna Yockey of Sylvania, Quinn Austin of Milan, MI, MaKaya Butler of Mansfield, William Austin of Milan, MI, Matthew, Haley Mock of Lancaster and Sky Bister of Mansfield; his great grandchild Lilith Mayberry of Genoa; his grandchildren, Thalia Yockey of Shelby, Maverick and Ayla Fletcher of Lancaster; and his siblings, Jeanne, Ken Bishop of Mansfield, Mary, Nabi Shah Fisher and Barb Yockey of Westminster, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Splitbeard's family asks that donations instead be made in his name to Boy Scout Troop 123, the James Fund for Life at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, or a charity of your choice in honor of his life so that his spirit may continue to be able to serve those in need.
