He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Leitenberger and Katherine Leitenberger (Bogantz); and his brothers, Richard Leitenberger, Albert Leitenberger and Kenny Leitenberger.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Leitenberger; his daughters, Sarah McElroy (Jason) and Kelly Leitenberger; his brother Walt Leitenberger (Andi); and his sisters-in-law, Lil and Sondra Leitenberger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to Gary Sinise Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
