He was predeceased by: his mother Nina Butts; and his grandparents, Clara and Donald Butts. He is survived by: his aunt Karen Butts; and his cousins, Dale Lepp (Tammy) and Heidi Schoener (Ben). He is also survived by other extended family members and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
