He was predeceased by : his wife Marie Bechtler (Briggs); his siblings, Stephan Bechtler and Elizabeth Grill; his sisters-in-law, Imrgardt Bechtler, Relva Bechtler and Helga Bechtler; and his mother-in-law Marie Briggs.
He is survived by : his children, Diane Roberts (Dalas), Michael Bechtler and Janet Hamrick (Randy); his stepgrandson Adam Hamrick; his brother John Bechtler; his brother-in-law Richard Grill; and his cousins, Gerlinda Otto and Inge Schneiders. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
