He was predeceased by: his wife Eva Marie Smith; his parents, William Everett Burris and Stella Gaffin (Wilmoth); his grandparents, Roy, Trollie Wilmoth, Perry and Mary Burris; his sister Sandy Fields; his nephew Ricky Francis; and his brother-in-law David "Catman" Francis.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene "OJ" Day (Delena) of Cincinnati, Katherine "Sissy" Day of Manchester, Dennis "TJ" Day of Manchester and Eva Marie Smith Davis of Manchester; and his siblings, Melinda Evans, Robin Lynn Smith (Barbara), Eddie Smith, Everett William Burris, Donald Gene Burris (Julie) and Billy Joe Gaffin. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
