He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" and Betty Jane Burris Hampton; and his foster parents, Samuel Houston and Letha Dickson of Maysville, KY.. He is survived by: his former wife Loretta Bryant; his daughter Clara Nichole Sutphin of Manchester, OH; and his foster siblings, Diana Hamilton of West Union, OH and Sam Short (Beverly) of Trenton, OH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
