It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Les Grooms of Manchester, Ohio, born in West Union, Ohio, who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Esten Grooms and Helen Hoop Grooms; his sisters, Janet Pitzer, Dorabelle Grooms and Grace Dehart; his stepson Brent Markwell; and his grandson Kenny Markwell.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Wilson Grooms; his daughter Debbie Wulf (Bob); his stepdaughters, April Markwell and Paige Redmon (Ray); his grandchildren, Brad Cummings (Tiana), Heather Thatcher (Cliff), Bobby Wulf (Ashley Fitzgerald), Jason Cummings, Katie Church (Dustin), Josh Redmon, Devin Redmon (Harley Silvia), Jalyn Smith (McKenzie), Lane Hanson and Ryan Henderson (Emily King); his great grandchildren, Briana, Shelby, Braden, Jace, Xander, Jaycee, Payzlee, Kyndall, Kenlee, Easton, Kyzer, Connor, Jaron, Owen, Oakley, Hannah and Navy; and his brother-in-law Jim Wilson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions to Manchester Food Bank.

“I remember Mr. Grooms fondly as my guidance counselor at MHS. He put a lot of effort into making sure I went to college and helping me find the funds to do it. I am very sure that he helped many others just like me over the years. I got to know Les a bit after high school and found him to be very likable. I was very sorry to learn of his passing.”
