He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Bowman and Erma Craycraft Reed; his granddaughter Ashley Nicole Scott; and his son-in-law Greg Hanson. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Hanson of West Union, Thomas Scott (Elizabeth) of West Union and Yvonne Bowman of Helmstedt, Germany; his grandchildren, Christopher Hanson (Lesley) and Stacey Rainwater; his great grandchild Benjamin Hanson; and his siblings, Lynn Matthews, Jackie Smith (Jerry Tumbleson), Debbie Clinger (Mark Bushelman), Patty Byington (Jack Collins) and Donald "Joe" Reed (Melissa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
