He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry H. Carmany and Elizabeth Carmany (Gray); and his brothers, John, Robert (Bob), Harry and William Carmany (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his son Michael R. Carmany (Le) of Anderson, S. C.; his grandsons, Michael II, James and Daniel of New Franklin; his great grandchildren, Michael III, Mariah, Serenity, Kori Ann and Daniel Hunter; and his sister Jane Hudkins (Wayne). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
