He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Daisy Smith (Burwell); his wife Helen Smith; his siblings, Howard "Bud" Smith, Frank "Lou" Smith, Emma Hohler and Dorothy Tubaugh; and his granddaughter Dawn Ikehara.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Dunn (Tom) of Malvern, Carol Covert of Edgewood, NM and Judy Brink (Richard) of Del Notre, CO; his grandchildren, Jeff Covert, Tim Covert (Dawn), Debby Hains, Samantha Kidder (Greg) and Casey Dunn (Tracie Dauwe); and his sister Patty Johnson (Bob) of Myrtle Beach, SC.. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
