He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Reed and Hattie Reed (Nolf); his wife Charlotte Reed (Sickles); and his siblings, Mary Peebles, Bertha Butcher and Thomas Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Oberlin (Keith) of Malvern, Joanne Brady (Ralph) of Carrollton, Janet Burns (Scott Felter) of Malvern, Rhonda Arkenburgh (William Arkenburgh) of Minerva and George Reed (Benelee Martin) of Carrollton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous adopted grandchildren.
