He is survived by: his significant other Carol Valentine Hook; his children, Carolyn Raney (Jordan) and Clark Steven Garris (Tiffany); the mother of his children Nancy Sudsina Garris; his grandchildren, Daniel, Catherine Gwendolyn, Hannah, Lillian, Faith, John Raney, Dakota and Dixon Garris; his sisters, Dianne Combs (Rick) and Cathy Davis (Gordon); his children, Hayley Patterson (John), Kate Whaley (Clay), Isaac (Cassie), Andrew Hook, Poppy, Emma Westfall (Cameron), Braxtyn and Jaxon Whaley; his great grandchild Sophia Westfall; and his caregivers, Jamie, Jasper Nicewanger, Angel, Eric, Renee Lambert, Jeff, Julie Hurlow and John Foreman.
He was in the late stages of Alzheimer's but passed from a massive heart attack.
