He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Strode and Wilma Benjamin Strode; his wife Phyllis A. Strode; his sisters, Joyce Ely and Betty Addis; his stepsister Bessie Marsh; and his brothers, Ralph and Stanley Strode.
He is survived by: his children, Pennie Roth (Jim) of Marion and Richard L. Strode, Jr. (Debbie) of Malta; and his brother Ray Strode of Brunswick, GA.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
