He was predeceased by: his parents, Errett Braden and Ada Maude Bankes Hickerson; his wife Jessie; his son Mel; and his siblings, Marion, David, Elton, Sherman and Wilma Morrow.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Riley (Tim) and Todd Hickerson (Linda); his daughter-in-law Mary Beth Hickerson; his grandchildren, Clinton Riley (Ciara), Abby Cole (Landon), Andrew Hickerson (Stephanie), Tyler Hickerson (Emily), Adam Hickerson (Kennedy) and Rachel Hickerson; his great grandchildren, Jozi Brown, Raegen, Bryar Riley, Brenna, Paige Cole, Hayden and Madelyn Hickerson; and his niece Bonnie Wilson (Jim).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seventh Street Church of Christ or the M&M Fire Department in McConnelsville .
