He was predeceased by: his parents, Delford Hambel and Jessie Starrett Hambel; his wife Doris Culver Hambel; his stepchildren, Dennis Kamento, Vickie Pastol and Cheryl Williams; and his siblings, Harry, Arthur, Wayne, Joe, Warren Hambel, Irene Spencer, Inez Shepard, Nellie Miller, Shirley Rhodes, Frances Shepard, Martha Ball and Ruth Scott.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kenny Hambel of Malta, Rosemary Soloman of Maryland and Ester Wilson of Oklahoma. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Matheney Funeral Home (165 N Kennebec Ave, McConnelsville, OH 43756). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the Rosseau Cemetery.
