He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Carpenter and Edna Carpenter; and his siblings, Alice Carpenter and Charles Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Burgett Carpenter; his children, Ronald Carpenter, Frannie Carpenter, Joseph Carpenter, John Carpenter and Alice Lowery; and his siblings, Goldie Tomlinson and Jack Carpenter. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
