He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Maxine "Mackie" Norris; his son Chester "Chet" Goins; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Stevens, Susan Norman and Reginald "Reggie" Nichols; and his siblings, Russell, Lyle, George, Dean, Lovell, Willmore, Carlos, Carroll Goins, Helen Goins and Alice Goins.

He is survived by: his children, Jerry Goins (Nina) of Malta, Delores Nichols of Malta, Roger Goins (Mary) of Malta, Cynthia McMullen of Malta and Kathy Stevens of McConnelsville; and his brother Ronnie. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
